Medical Evaluations

The medical marijuana laws in CA are very clear and specific. A patient has to be a resident of CA and needs to be evaluated by a physician (M.D. or DO); it cannot be a physician's assistant or a nurse practitioner, or a nurse. It must be a physician. Furthermore, the practice must be owned by a doctor. It cannot be owned by a lay person who then hires a doctor. If a medical facility is not owned by a doctor then it is immediately illegal according to CA law!

After the doctor has evaluated the patient's medical condition the doctor may then issue a recommendation for the therapeutic use of marijuana if the patient's illness could be improved by the use of medical marijuana. Our initial evaluation is just the beginning. Our doctors are compliant with CA Prop. 215 and CA SB 420 and are responsible for ongoing medical marijuana evaluations, medical marijuana recommendations, medical marijuana verification, law enforcement support and much more.
